Transfer puppet animation

    It’s not possible. Sorry. :(

  • SnowHermit

Okay. Thanks for the info anyway!

    Workaround:

Remix the animated puppet and bring into the same scene the new puppet. Scope into the new puppet, select each body part, one at a time, scope out and then while still holding the body piece scope into the animated puppet, grouping the new piece with the animated piece.

Thanks for the idea, Magus0Mind00. Seems overly complicated, but I might give it a try at some point.

Yeah. I believe this is function is really needed for many creators who plan to remix existing content. Considering we have categories "Character" and "Animation" in the dreameverse, it would be so much usefull to be able to connect these two. Let me download the puppet and then download the "attack" microchip, "dance microchip", "climb microchip" and just copy these from one puppet to anither and use them.

That means that we have to recreate each movement for each new puppet? It will add so much work for an animation or a game. I just made 8 separates kicks and punch to share with the community but now i understand it is pretty useless individually.

Would be a great addition to the game so we could share moves like the other elements of the game.

Finally I want to tell the whole team that your game is superb! I love it!

You could Remix your or others animated characters into a new one, just change the sculpted parts into a new one that you want (carefully to not ungroup)

Why though? seems like a major thing

I would suggest to look at how the humanoid avatar works in Unity for example it allows to use any biped animation on any other. You need to map the bones corresponding, arm legs,.. The result is not perfect if proportions is too different but it could be a good start instead of restarting from 0. And of course when characters are the same proportions it works perfectly which can be usefull to load a character animation in another scene.

    It would be very usefull.
